Our Mission: Protecting Your Heart Before It's at Risk

Dr. Jose Jacob’s path to cardiology began in Bangalore, India, where he earned his medical degree at St. John’s National Academy of Medical Sciences. He went on to complete advanced internal medicine training in Ireland and England before crossing the Atlantic to pursue cardiology in New York City.

From 1999 to 2002, Dr. Jacob completed his cardiology fellowship through a joint program at New York Presbyterian Hospital–Weill Cornell Medical College and Coney Island Hospital, later serving as Chief Cardiology Fellow. That training sharpened both his technical skill and his belief that prevention saves more lives than intervention ever can.

Since then, Dr. Jacob has practiced invasive cardiology across North Carolina and Florida, performing thousands of cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implants, and diagnostic heart procedures. He has also held hospital leadership roles, including Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Chief of Staff, shaping cardiac care standards well beyond his own exam room.

Today, Dr. Jacob practices at the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida in Ocala, with full cardiology privileges at several regional hospitals. His research on thrombolysis and transesophageal echocardiography, published and presented internationally, reflects a career built on both hands-on care and medical scholarship. That same rigor now informs every article you’ll read here.
